Speaker: Elinor Swery


Elinor presented at the 2016 Women in IT conference, sharing her experiences around her transition from university to working in the IT industry.  It is our pleasure to have her back this year as part of the panel.

Elinor started her career in IT with IBM in 2016. Previously, she completed a BE and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Auckland. She is passionate about working in a fast paced, technical environment and more importantly with people, which is why she has decided to shift her focus to customer-focused IT consulting.

Elinor has worked in various industries, including government, utilities, automotive, manufacturing, banking and telecommunication, focusing on improving processes and user experiences through the enablement and adoption of AI technologies.

She has had significant experience in establishing and delivering effective digital strategies, product design and is particular passionate about sharing and imparting the potential of new and emerging technologies with others.
